Small Wonders Camps -- Aiming to capitalize on the time period when the child’s imagination is still fresh (or maybe needing only a tiny jump-start), we design their experiences at camp to be unforgettable in every way. (The kids have a mahvalous time, while Miss Becca nearly collapses from exhaustion!)
· These are temporarily unavailable and will return in the summer of 2012. We are sorry for any inconvenience! Please consider the pajama parties instead for now.
· 8-12 a.m., Monday through Thursday
· Ages 3-8 (excepting the keyboard camps)
· Total cost: $85/4 days of camp (exception: 3-day camps are $65)
· Registration: send form (downloaded from www.studio-to-you.com/registration) with $30, to Miss Becca's Place, 1814 Flagstone Dr., Longview, TX 75605; pay remaining $55 on Monday of camp. (903/738-9616)
· Each camp is uniquely thematic and based on Caldecott Award-winning books (awarded for illustrations children love) and other best-loved childrens’ books. The art from the books “draws” them in; from that place of interest, we teach the elements of art while applying them to their own work of art for the day or week. (The focus is on the process, not the project alone.) Additionally, the music instruction and creative play immerse them in a multi-sensory experience: we want them to love, enjoy, and embrace the arts—and the beauty all around them—all of their lives! Camps and Pajama Parties (see separate page for a schedule of these)include social interaction, 2 snack times, nature exploration, creative play, story/music, instrumental time, and lots of art time—all in an atmosphere of fun and adventure!

“Art Gets Wonky”
Explore the Expressionistic artists which have influenced modern style: Kandinsky, Pollack, Munch, Kirchner...positively out of control artplay! Great way to segue from summer madness to fall craziness. Many media will emerge from the art closet for this one!
